When and where is the Toronto Sauna Festival?

The festival takes place at Evergreen Brick Works, 550 Bayview Avenue in Toronto. Friday features the Immersive Opening Night, followed by four-hour festival sessions on Saturday and Sunday. Check the ticket page for your selected session time and current availability.

Is Toronto Sauna Festival wheelchair accessible?

Toronto Sauna Festival takes place at Evergreen Brick Works, which offers accessible facilities. Not all experiences on site are wheelchair accessible. If you have specific mobility or accessibility needs, please contact us before attending so our team can help you plan your visit.

What is different about Friday's Immersive Opening Night?

Friday is a smaller, curated experience. The evening is built around Earth, Air, Fire and Water. Guests begin with grounding meditation and breathwork indoors, or guided sauna rituals and cold exposure outdoors. The evening then moves into live music and an immersive sensory performance including Aufguss, cymatic light projections and fire performers. The final hour consists of free-flow sauna experiences and guided rituals.

How do the Saturday and Sunday sessions work, and which one should I choose?

Saturday and Sunday are four-hour festival sessions. The core sauna, cold, movement and recovery experiences carry across the weekend, while scheduled classes, rituals and entertainment vary by session. Saturday afternoon features live music, Saturday evening brings DJs and a more social atmosphere, Sunday morning includes the Coffee Party Festival takeover with DJs, and Sunday afternoon closes with live acoustic music and wellness programming. During your ticket window, you can move through the experiences available in your session at your own pace.

What kinds of sauna rituals can I experience?

Sauna programming includes traditional and aromatherapy Aufguss, Banya-inspired rituals, meditation, breathwork, sound, percussion, storytelling, stretching, self-massage and free-flow sauna sessions.

What kinds of programming and sauna rituals can I experience?

Programming includes Pilates, yoga, breathwork, sound baths, myofascial release, Face Pilates, nervous system workshops and other movement and recovery sessions.

I'm new to sauna and cold plunging. Can I still participate?

Yes. Toronto Sauna Festival includes both guided and free-flow experiences, so you can choose the programming that interests you and move at your own pace. Facilitators will guide guests through scheduled sauna rituals and cold exposure experiences. No experience is required.

Do I need to book classes or sauna rituals in advance?

Movement, sound and breathwork sessions are first come, first served, so we recommend arriving 15 to 20 minutes before the scheduled start time. Sauna rituals are also first come, first served with rituals repeating throughout the festival to give everyone an opportunity to try them out.

What is included with my ticket, and what else is available onsite?

Your ticket includes access to the festival during your selected time window, including sauna experiences, cold plunges, scheduled movement and breathwork programming, live entertainment, recovery areas, the vendor village and other festival programming. Additional wellness experiences, food, beverages, treatments and merchandise may be complimentary or available for purchase depending on the offering.

What should I bring, and what will be provided onsite?

Change rooms and paid baggage check are available on site. Bring a bathing suit, warm layers, sandals or flip-flops for the sauna and plunge areas, running shoes for movement sessions, a reusable water bottle, and a personal towel for drying off. Yoga mats will be available for movement, sound and breathwork sessions, and sauna towels will be provided for sitting inside the saunas. There are also outdoor showers available.
